A Bird Hit My Window
and Now I'm a Lesbian

"It's brilliant! It's beautiful! The production design... animation... story... pacing... all of it brilliant. "
- Kate Stransky
"While it didn't have the run time of the average Hollywood block buster, this film carried more weight, heart, and passion than most film's I've seen this year. Incredibly impressive and I loved it"
-Vladiesminombre, Letterbox Review
"Absolute banger."

A Film By
Carmela Murphy and AJ Dubler
Carmela Murphy is a filmmaker and artist specializing in stop motion animation and screenwriting. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2024. She adores telling narrative and fantastical stories that explore the weird and the wonderful.

AJ Dubler is a stop motion animator, 2D animator, and storyboard artist. They have experience working on stop motion productions and creating their own films. AJ is the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at SAIC and graduated with distinction in Fall 2023.

AJ and Carmela met at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and knew they were destined to collaborate. With a shared love of stop motion and lesbians, A Bird Hit my Window and Now I'm A Lesbian was born.
